I just wanted everyone to know that my mom (Jean McKay) will be having her surgery on Thursday, September 14. Please keep her in your prayers this week and in the weeks to follow. I will be going to the city on Tuesday.
I hope the rest of the McCay clan is doing well.

Is anyone Alive Out There?
Here is the latest from CJ:
1. School has started for both of us. My girls' golf team has won both our tournaments. Plus, I got really lucky. I was on a tee box watching a group of girls hit, when all of the sudden a golf ball DRILLED me in the side of the head. I was sitting in a cart, and I dropped like a sack of rocks. It hurt REALLY BAD. We didn't hear anyone yell FORE.....so I was just in a lot of pain. But I pulled through. But here is the kicker:
the ball was shanked by my own player, and worse yet, my own cousin: PAIGE FLETCHER! (Anna, she was the other candlelighter at our wedding!)
So I'm alive, I just had a ripping headache for a while.

Here is a recent picture of us, taken outside our church. The girls are registered for school and getting ready to hit the books. I'm not ready, but that is ok. I'm actually always a little sad when they go back to school. Bethany is a senior, Anna a sophomore, Emily is in the 6th grade and Jenna is in the 4th. They are so big, I know.
My mom (Jean) will be having her third chemo treatment on the 17th of August. After that, they will do another mammogram and from there we will hear the plans for surgery. She has done pretty well with the chemo, but doesn't feel like herself, of course. And she has started losing her hair. All in all she has handled it pretty well, however.
I hope everyone else is doing ok. Someone other than me needs to write something. Get moving guys!

Another day has come....
For all the McCay family members who are Sooner fans, yesterday sure was a bad day for the program. Stupid boosters and even DUMBER Rhett Bomar. Now who is going to play QB for us?
I WILL!
In other news, Alexa christened our new swimming pool. Like father, like daughter. One bit of water in the mouth and BLEARRGHHH....barf in the pool!
But the kids had a great time all playing together....little JoJo is a maniac and not scared of the water at all!
